Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Resilience Water team in Fair Lawn, NJ OR East Windsor, NY.

As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge for design and construction to execute a variety of water and wastewater projects. You will also manage design teams and mentor junior engineers. You will be a critical team member and be expected to support the performance of the Fair Lawn, East Windsor, Philadelphia and Wilmington offices, and ensure business performance metrics are being met. You will also be responsible for Client Management/Development strategy in the NJ/Eastern Pennsylvania region.

The rate at which we're seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent.

Role accountabilities:

As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will lead and direct the development of water and wastewater projects as a client-facing project manager. You will utilize your knowledge of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pump/lift stations, and water/wastewater treatment facility engineering to successfully deliver projects and meet client expectations.

You will lead projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater treatment plants, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations as well as creating construction documents, project specifications, and handling construction oversight/administration.

Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer, or technical advisor.

Engage directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.

Manage a range of projects for various clients in the region. Responsibilities will include managing budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment, and leading project teams to meet the project deliverables.

Support the work of others and mentoring junior-level engineers & design/drafting technical staff.

Lead/support teams in the marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets for various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.

Travel, as needed, for client meetings, project site visits, etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field
• PE License in New Jersey and/or in other nearby states (or ability to obtain NJ PE within 6 months)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Engineering
• 15 years of industry-related experience

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $118,000 - $201,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
