Responsibilities- Design of water, wastewater, and reuse treatment facilities
- Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of small to medium sizes
- Responsible for budget, schedule and quality standards
- Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments
- Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the water reuse field
- Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods
- Assists in proposal preparation and interviews and may be included in contract negotiations with clients after selection
- Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff level on existing projects
- Works closely with subconsultants on projects
- Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions
- Travel required when requested
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
- 10-15 years of design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
- Experience designing treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
- Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
- Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
