Labcorp is seeking a Senior Voice Engineer to join our team in the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC office.
Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.
Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) clusters, dial plans, and call routing.
- Configure and support Cisco ISR/ASR voice routers, VG series gateways, and CUBE for SIP, PRI, and analog integrations.
- Manage and optimize SIP trunking, PSTN connectivity, and voice routing policies across enterprise environments.
- Deploy, configure, and support Cisco Unity Connection for voicemail and messaging solutions.
- Deploy and support Cisco Webex Calling and Webex App, including hybrid and cloud integrations.
- Lead number porting projects, including coordination with carriers, validation of routing, and troubleshooting of porting issues.
- Perform upgrades, migrations, and patching for CUCM, Unity, and Webex platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across CUCM, gateways, SIP trunks, and collaboration tools.
- Collaborate with network, security, and collaboration teams to ensure seamless integration of voice services.
- Document system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on voice projects.
- Participate in vendor discussions, proof-of-concepts, and readiness assessments for new voice solutions.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree and 5 or more years of experience.
- 5 or more years of enterprise voice engineering experience with Cisco UC solutions.
- 3 or more years of experience with:
- CUCM (multi-cluster environments, dial plans, SRST, device pools).
- Cisco ISR/ASR routers, VG gateways, and CUBE (SIP, H.323, MGCP).
- Unity Connection (voicemail, integration with CUCM and Exchange).
- Webex Calling and Webex App (cloud calling, hybrid deployments, user provisioning).
- Number porting and carrier coordination (domestic and international).
Preferred Qualifications- CCNP Collaboration certification.
- CCIE Collaboration certification.
- Experience with VoIP, SIP, RTP, QoS, and enterprise network protocols.
- Experience with global dial plans, number normalization, and least cost routing.
- Experience with integration of PSTN, carrier services, and cloud collaboration.
- Experience with voice security standards (TLS, SRTP, SBCs).
- Experience with enterprise WAN environments (MPLS, SD-WAN).
