Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design.
- Experience using figma to design, maintain, and component libraries and design systems.

Preferred qualifications:- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- 2 years of experience leading design projects.
- Experience with motion design, interactive prototyping, and front-end web technologies (such as HTML and CSS).
- Experience with AI-assisted design workflows, vibe coding, or connecting design systems to development environments (such as Model Context Protocol).
- Experience designing and implementing user interfaces (UIs) for TV platforms or smart TV devices.

Responsibilities - Craft, maintain, and evolve the Living Room design system component library, driving alignment with engineering and core foundations through robust documentation, strict variable consistency, and token adoption.
- Lead the integration of AI-assisted workflows into our design pipeline to enable rapid, high-fidelity prototyping of next-generation visual styles and experimental TV interaction patterns.
- Leverage principal contributors to explore concept development to influence product, a point-of-view around visual style, and product commitments.
- Defend YouTube products, our brand promise, and its unique value proposition amid an interlaced relationship with YouTube's master brand.
- Partner with visual programs within our organization to evolve and apply new design styles and aesthetics for our suite of products.
