Summary of PositionTeladoc Health is a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, innovative environment where you'll find your excitement building as you're both challenged and gratified by progress, every day. As a Senior Product Designer on the Consumer Experience team, you'll work with high-impact teams focused on improving the experience of delivering healthcare for consumers.
You'll thrive here if you:
- Set a high standard for craft: You've earned confidence because of the consistent quality of your work, and you have a history of setting the standard for what strong design looks like.
- See design as a team sport: You know a cohesive, rational end-user experience depends on connected work, and your approach is collaborative because of it. You design with that in mind from the start.
- Lead with intellectual humility: You ask when you're unsure, own it when you're wrong, and actively seek out perspectives that challenge your thinking.
- Hold strong opinions, lightly: Your work is considered and opinionated at every turn, and you have the confidence to approach it as such. But you recognize digging in doesn't help move anything forward and have the judgment to know when to advocate and when to adapt.
- Earn trust through positive collaboration: You present your work in a way that makes it possible for others to engage, and you facilitate conversations that move things forward rather than stall them out. You expect different perspectives and navigate disagreements without frustration, caving, or bulldozing.
- Turn complexity into simplicity: Healthcare has no shortage of ways to make something more complex; you resist that urge at every turn.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Lead complex design work for consumer experiences across web and mobile, from early-stage problem framing through shipping, translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear, well-reasoned design directions
- Partner closely with other members of the UX team and cross-functional partners to deliver cohesive, efficient, and compassionate digital experiences
- Use early design concepts to shape requirements, not just respond to them
- Champion a user-centered approach that reflects real healthcare consumer needs, balancing user needs with business goals and technical feasibility without losing sight of any of them
- Present to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence
- Ground decisions in data, user research, and usability testing; willing to jump in and do research when appropriate
- Engage with the design system as a thoughtful contributor, raising issues and pushing for improvements when the work calls for it
- Identify and push back on product or technical constraints that compromise the user experience, offering alternatives rather than just objections
- Elevate those around you through specific, honest, and actionable feedback
