Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Vice President, MQ Support / Administrator professional to join our production services middleware team in Pittsburgh, PA; New York, NY; New Jersey; or Lake Mary, FL.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Administer, support, and provision IBM MQ environments across IBM MQ appliances and/or containerized platforms
  • Manage TLS certificates to maintain secure and reliable messaging connectivity
  • Perform firmware upgrades and support ongoing platform maintenance activities
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain MQIPT environments
  • Provision new MQ infrastructure and support day-to-day operational requirements
  • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and drive timely resolution of incidents
  • Support incident management activities, including triage, escalation, resolution, and service restoration
  • Support change management processes, including production changes, maintenance planning, and implementation activities
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability, security, and compliance
  • Interpret and translate application requirements into meaningful infrastructure solutions
  • Work directly with vendors during complex troubleshooting and remediation efforts
  • Maintain operational documentation, technical procedures, and support standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, reliability enhancement, and performance optimization initiatives


To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • 12+ years of experience supporting and provisioning IBM MQ
  • Hands-on experience with IBM MQ appliances and/or container-based MQ deployments
  • Experience managing TLS certificates in enterprise environments
  • Experience performing firmware upgrades and related infrastructure maintenance
  • Experience with MQIPT deployments and provisioning
  • Experience with change management and incident management in a production support environment
  • Ability to interpret and translate application requirements into infrastructure solutions
  • Experience working directly with vendors during complex troubleshooting and remediation efforts
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and production support experience
  • Strong understanding of secure messaging, connectivity, and operational best practices
  • Ability to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment
  • z/OS support experience strongly preferred
  • MQ cluster support experience strongly preferred
  • ACE support experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills strongly desired
  • Experience supporting highly available, enterprise-scale messaging environments preferred
  • Familiarity with automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code practices preferred
  • Experience working in large, regulated financial services environments preferred

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
