Overview

The SVP, Business Development, is a senior leader responsible for shaping and delivering winning new business pitches for Publicis Connected Media. This role combines strategic storytelling, pitch leadership, and operational excellence to create bold, differentiated, and flawlessly executed pitch experiences that convert opportunity into growth. You will be part of a New York-based team and manage a group that flexes across Connected Media new business needs.

Responsibilities

LEAD PITCH TEAMS
  • Confidently lead large, cross-functional pitch teams and partner closely with executive leadership
  • Set clear expectations, proactively identify risks, and resolve issues before they impact delivery
  • Act as the day-to-day leader for the Connected Media business development team, setting standards, pace, and ways of working across pitches
  • Motivate teams to deliver their best work under pressure, fostering accountability and momentum
  • Ensure excellence across all pitch components, including chemistry, data & technology capabilities, pitch presentations, match tests, transition planning, agency model, and commercial proposals
  • Orchestrate workstreams, pace development, and manage executive feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Build strong collaborative relationships to ensure an integrated, well-rounded pitch strategy


DESIGNING, ACTIVATING AND OWNING THE PITCH DELIVERY PLAN
  • Own the end-to-end pitch delivery plan with flawless project management and organizational rigor
  • Lead pitch coordination across timelines, checkpoints, deliverables, and design execution
  • Elevate pitch experiences through innovative ideas that are distinctive, impactful, and executable
  • Ensure pitch environments, materials, and "theatre" reflect the quality and ambition of our thinking


CLOSE COLLABORATION
  • Partner closely with pitch leadership and executive sponsors to ensure a unified, winning strategy
  • Drive accountability across all pitch stakeholders to meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Build and curate pitch decks by sourcing best-in-class work and guiding teams toward sharp, strategic outputs

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of media agency experience, with deep expertise in business development or pitching
  • Exceptional storytelling, strategic writing, editing, and communication skills

Compensation Range: USD $180,215.00 - USD $299,637.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
