Overview

Publicis Groupe's Constellation team is seeking an experienced Senior Vice President, Commerce to define, build, and scale a next-generation Commerce Consulting capability for one of the Groupe's largest global clients.

This is a highly strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the vision, operating model, and go-to-market approach for an emerging commerce practice. As the senior commerce leader, you will partner closely with executive client stakeholders and cross-functional Publicis leaders to establish an integrated commerce capability spanning strategy, retail media, digital shelf, marketplaces, connected commerce, organizational transformation, and emerging commerce technologies.

Success in this role requires equal parts strategic consulting, business leadership, and capability building. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives while building a high-performing team, developing new service offerings, and helping define how commerce consulting evolves across Publicis Groupe.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead Constellation's Commerce Consulting capability, defining the long-term vision, operating model, and growth strategy.
  • Serve as the executive commerce advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing strategic guidance across the evolving commerce ecosystem.
  • Develop integrated commerce strategies spanning retail media, digital shelf, marketplaces, omnichannel commerce, data, technology, and organizational transformation.
  • Build and scale a multidisciplinary Commerce Consulting team by attracting, developing, and mentoring top talent.
  • Partner across Publicis agencies to create integrated client solutions that leverage strategy, media, creative, data, technology, and commerce expertise.
  • Identify new growth opportunities and expand commerce consulting engagements across the client portfolio.
  • Shape thought leadership around emerging commerce trends, retailer ecosystems, AI, connected commerce, and digital transformation.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key commerce platforms, retailers, technology providers, and industry organizations.
  • Develop scalable methodologies, frameworks, and intellectual property that differentiate Publicis Commerce in the marketplace.
  • Influence executive-level client decisions while driving measurable commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in commerce, digital strategy, consulting, retail media, or omnichannel marketing, with significant experience advising Fortune 500 CPG clients.
  • Proven success building, scaling, and leading commerce or consulting practices, including developing new capabilities, service offerings, and high-performing teams.
  • Deep expertise across the commerce ecosystem, including retail media, digital shelf, marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, Target, etc.), omnichannel commerce, shopper marketing, and emerging commerce technologies.
  • Executive-level consulting experience with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, navigate complex organizations, and serve as a trusted strategic advisor.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, cross-functional client engagements and driving transformational business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of commerce technology platforms, data and measurement solutions, AI-enabled commerce, and the evolving retail landscape.
  • Proven track record of identifying growth opportunities, developing new business, and expanding strategic client partnerships.
  • Experience collaborating across strategy, media, creative, data, technology, and analytics disciplines to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence senior stakeholders across matrixed organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building capabilities from the ground up and thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client engagements and business development.

The benefits offerings listed are available to eligible U.S. Based employees, are reviewed on an annual basis, and are governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.

Compensation Range: USD $180,215.00 - USD $268,905.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
