You'll apply your underwriting expertise, collaborate closely with advisors, internal and external partners, and help elevate underwriting standards across the organization.

What You'll Do:- Apply your medical, financial, and lifestyle underwriting expertise to make sound, confident decisions.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with advisors, distributors, and internal partners.
- Deliver exceptional service rooted in clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and help shape underwriting best practices.
- Contribute to impactful projects involving technology, processes, and underwriting philosophy.
What You Bring:- 5+ years experience in individual life and critical illness underwriting, including medical, non-medical, and financial risk assessment.
- Proven ability to underwrite complex cases at higher approval authority limits, balancing risk selection with competitive decisions.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize evidence and guidelines to arrive at competitive decisions.
- Effective communication and relationship-management skills, including collaboration with advisors, reinsurers, and internal team members.
- Comfort operating in regulated environments, with consistent adherence to underwriting philosophy, audit requirements, privacy and disclosure requirements.
- Experience contributing to underwriting improvement initiatives, such as guideline development, process optimization, and technology adoption.
- commitment to continuous professional development, including progress toward or completion of industry designations (FLMI, FALU, CPU).
What we pay:Pay Range: $85,000 - $110,000
