Job title - Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager Location - Baton Rouge, LA Job type - Hybrid or Onsite Requisition ID - 11277 Stanley Consultants is seeking a talented and driven individual that wants to take the next step in their career and manage transportation projects for our top clients including the Louisiana DOTD and municipalities throughout the state of Louisiana. This position offers the option of either full time in-office or a hybrid work arrangement based out of our Baton Rouge, LA office. This individual will provide technical engineering expertise and project management for various projects throughout the state of Louisiana. This position requires experience on roadway design projects as well as a determination to grow their overall transportation design knowledge. This position plans, designs, and manages the full cycle of transportation projects from concept through construction. This includes managing all activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, quality, communications, resources, and risk elements to provide excellent client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility for a variety of clients. Annual volume managed could approach $1,000,000 in annual gross revenue. This position will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to other Engineers, EITs, and Transportation Designers. This position may also assist in business development opportunities from the Baton Rouge office. What You Will Be Doing: - Participates in project scoping, costing, and proposal preparation, and negotiations to the extent required. - Reviews assigned project(s) after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences and develops schedules, budgets, staffing, and progress billing points. - Forms a project team and sees that responsibilities are assigned and the execution of tasks are begun and completed in accordance with schedule. - Submits documents to federal, state, and local authorities to obtain permits required. - Meets with Client as necessary during the development of a project to resolve issues and to obtain approvals at the project's completion. - Maintains a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts. - Plans, organizes, communicates, and coordinates project engagements. - Manages the day-to-day activities of project engagements including clients and project teams. - Prepares project opening orders, project outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and project closings. - Maintains Project Records. - Reviews project invoices for accuracy and develops associated progress reports. - Achieves project performance established for the engagement. - Achieves project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules. - Works on the overall designs of projects for Louisiana DOTD and local municipalities as well as assists on other market projects. - Serve as Technical Task Lead on roadway design projects. - Works with younger designers and engineers on overall design for roadway projects. - Responsible for quality control, project completeness, budgets, schedules, and maintaining positive relationships with clients on assigned projects. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Civil or Construction Engineering. - A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years of highway design. - Professional Engineer license (PE). - Previous project management level experience. - Prior experience working for a transportation agency or consulting engineering firm. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge and experience with the Louisiana DOTD including the Road Design Manual. - Working knowledge of MicroStation and OpenRoad Designer.
