Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Technological Site Supervisor with expertise in POWER SUPPLY who thrives in a fast-paced construction and installation Site based environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in downtown Toronto, Ontario.

Accountabilities:


•    Support the local Construction Manager to ensure the execution of the construction-related portions of the Project within time and budgetary constraints, and in compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Plans, and regulatory requirements applicable to the Project
•    Follow and comply with HS&E rules as required by the HSE Management Plan.
•    Ensure the subcontractor submits all necessary Work Methods, Site Specific Work Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses for tasks including any registration or licensing requirements for Special Processes, record these documents in Teamcenter, and ensure they are approved and implemented for all site work.
•    Maintain a record of subcontractor installation progress and provide weekly reporting to the Construction Manager of subcontractor progress vs the baseline construction schedule to support the processing of subcontractor invoicing.
•    Identify potential problem areas and risks, then support the development and implementation of mitigation actions
•    Interface with all key stakeholders including Customer, internal functions and subcontractors to ensure a coherent and achievable 2 week look-ahead work plan and a 4 week look ahead forecast. Monitor this plan and ensure timely communication of issues and actions as they arise.
•    Monitor the construction schedule and provide up to date forecasts of progress and changes to the Project Scheduler
•    Provide the interface with Installation Engineering to ensure the availability of approved, constructible designs within required timeframes.
•    Track responses to Non Conformances (NCRs) and Requests for Information (RFI) to ensure timely resolution.
•    Monitor the site materials inventory, report on material availability and shortages for work planned and ensure correct management of the site materials.

Required Skills/ Knowledge/Ability:

• 8-10 years of Supervisory in executing construction and installation Projects. Directing a Sub-contractor in work activities.
• Technical background in electrical wiring, power supply, fiber, conduit/cabling, excavations.

• Report organization and conveyance.

• Railroad power supply experience preferred.

• Ability to work various weekly shifts (day and night).
• Ability to work in the railroad outside environment daily.

Education: 
 • Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Eng) or High School Diploma plus equivalent technical background.

- Ontario P.Eng is nice to have.

Salary Range: CAD $ 119,900 to CAD$ 179,800.

The current applicable Base Salary Pay Range for this role is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills relevant to the role, internal equity, alignment with market data, or other law.
