Overview

Join our team as a Senior Technical Writer and support GSA's Center for Emerging Building Technologies (CEBT) by translating complex DOE National Laboratory measurement and verification (M&V) reports into clear, decision-ready communications. You will review technical report drafts, develop four-page Findings Summary Documents and webinar materials, and draft press releases and industry articles, ensuring GSA leadership and stakeholders can quickly understand and act on evaluation findings.

 

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

 

Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Central Time.

Responsibilities
  • Translate dense technical reports from DOE National Laboratories into polished, executive-ready findings summaries
  • Review draft technical reports and work directly with lab teams to sharpen clarity and resolve open feedback
  • Write press releases, award and conference applications, and articles that showcase program results to external audiences
  • Build webinar content and briefing materials that make technical findings land with non-technical stakeholders
  • Interview deployment teams and turn their insights into newsletters and case studies
  • Draft leadership communications, including a recurring executive update, with a consistent, polished voice
  • Craft content that answers the big questions decision-makers care about: what the technology is, why it matters, and what GSA should do next

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to translate complex building technology data into executive-level communications
  • Sufficient technical knowledge of building technologies, measurement and verification (M&V) processes, and data analysis to provide meaningful review of technical reports
  • Strong stakeholder communication and strategic messaging skills
