Full Job Description
Why Hover wants you

Hover's engineering organization is nearly 100 people strong and growing, building enterprise and consumer AI products at the intersection of computer vision, 3D reconstruction, computational geometry, and modern product engineering. We're looking for a seasoned Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for this team and become the trusted talent partner to our Head of Engineering and his leadership group. This is a rare seat for someone who wants to shape not just who joins Hover's engineering team, but how Hover recruits - with real license to bring AI tools and modern practice into the way we hire, end to end.
You will contribute by

You'll own full-cycle recruiting for Hover's Engineering organization - partnering directly with our Head of Engineering and his leadership team to build sourcing strategy, run structured interview loops, and close offers for roles spanning senior engineers through engineering leadership. You'll build and execute outbound sourcing campaigns using LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, and AI-assisted sourcing tools, and you'll act as a strategic advisor to hiring managers by shaping hiring strategy, calibrating interview process, and using market data to guide decisions. Beyond running the tools we already have, you'll have real room to build your own, whether that's a custom sourcing agent, a referral miner, or something else that makes the job faster and sharper. You'll also coach the engineering leaders you partner with, helping them grow into genuinely great interviewers and hiring partners in their own right, not just participants in someone else's process.
  • Full-Cycle Ownership: Own full-cycle recruiting for Hover's ~100-person Engineering organization, currently supporting 10+ open roles.
  • Hiring Manager Partnership: Partner directly with Hover's Head of Engineering and senior engineering leaders as a strategic hiring advisor.
  • Sourcing Strategy: Build and run sourcing strategy across LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox (AI sourcing platform), referrals, and outbound campaigns that start with thorough market mapping.
  • Hiring Excellence: Drive hiring manager calibration, interview debriefs, and data-informed hiring decisions.
  • AI & Ops Innovation: Bring AI tools and workflow automation into day-to-day recruiting operations.
Your background includes
  • 7+ years of deep experience in full-cycle technical recruiting supporting software engineering organizations across multiple levels (senior IC through engineering management)
  • Strong sourcing expertise with a track record building pipelines for hard-to-fill technical roles like Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and other specialized engineering roles
  • Experience as a strategic partner to hiring managers - shaping hiring strategy, not just executing search requests
  • Background in high-growth or scaling technology companies, comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with modern recruiting tools, including an ATS (Greenhouse preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter, and outreach/CRM platforms (Juicebox, Gem, Ashby, or similar)
  • Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to improve sourcing, candidate engagement, and recruiting operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to represent Hover's brand directly to candidates
  • Genuine curiosity about technology and engineering, with the ability to learn complex technical domains quickly and engage credibly with engineering candidates and leaders
  • Passion for building exceptional engineering teams, with a proactive, high-quality approach to sourcing and a relentless focus on candidate experience

This role is open to candidates at the Senior or Principal level - we'll land on the right level together based on the scope of experience you bring, particularly around strategic hiring manager partnership and independent ownership of complex searches.

Nice-to-haves
  • Experience recruiting for AI/ML, computer vision, infrastructure, graphics/3D, or security engineering domains
  • Experience building or evolving interview processes, recruiting playbooks, or hiring programs at a scaling company
  • Prior experience at a recruiting agency in addition to in-house experience
Benefits
  • Compensation - Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing company
  • Healthcare - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents
  • Paid Time Off - Unlimited and flexible vacation policy
  • Paid Family Leave - We support work/life balance and offer generous paid parental and new child bonding leave
  • Mandatory Self-Care Days - A day set aside each month to allow employees to recharge
  • Remote Wellbeing Resources - We provide recurring fitness classes, meditation/ mindfulness tools, virtual therapy, and family planning assistance
  • Learning - We encourage continued education and will help cover the cost of management training, conferences, workshops, or certifications

About Hover

The Hoover Company is a home appliance company founded in Ohio, United States. It also established a major base in the United Kingdom; and, mostly in the 20th century, it dominated the electric vacuum cleaner industry, to the point where the Hoover brand name became synonymous with vacuum cleaners and vacuuming in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Hoover North America was once part of Maytag, but was sold by Maytag's new owners Whirlpool Corporation in 2007 to Hong Kong multinational manufacturing company Techtronic Industries for $107 million. Hoover International had already split from Hoover North America in 1993, and was acquired by Candy in 1995, which was acquired by Haier in 2019. In addition to producing floorcare products, Hoover was also an iconic domestic appliance brand in Europe, particularly well known for its washing machines and tumble dryers in the UK and Ireland, and also had significant sales in many parts of Europe. Today, the Hoover Europe brand, as part of the portfolio of brands owned by Chinese multinational home appliances company Haier remains a major player in the European white goods and floor care sectors in a number of countries.
