Senior Technical Project Manager

About your role:
The Senior Technical Project Manager leads enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives by coordinating large-scale server upgrade, operating system refresh, migration, and technology lifecycle programs. This role serves as the primary liaison between infrastructure engineering, application support teams, cybersecurity, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure successful planning and execution of server modernization efforts. The position is responsible for managing portfolios of infrastructure transformation projects involving server refresh activities, operating system upgrades, workload migrations, platform modernization, and automated server mobility solutions. The individual drives project governance, risk management, resource coordination, stakeholder communications, and production cutover activities while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations

What you'll do:
  • Lead enterprise-wide infrastructure modernization programs supporting server lifecycle management, operating system upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource plans, and reporting.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent modernization projects across distributed technology environments.
  • Establish governance frameworks, project controls, success metrics, and implementation standards.
  • Facilitate program reviews, technical readiness assessments, and executive stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate server upgrade, migration, cloning, and operating system modernization activities utilizing approved automation and server mobility platforms, including RiverMeadow-based migration methodologies where applicable.
  • Partner with infrastructure engineering teams to develop migration strategies, cutover plans, rollback procedures, and implementation schedules.
  • Oversee server refresh initiatives designed to reduce technical debt, improve platform supportability, and enhance operational resilience.
  • Coordinate application dependency validation, infrastructure testing, business readiness reviews, and production deployment activities.
  • Ensure migration activities align with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure comprehensive testing, validation, and contingency planning are completed before production cutovers.
  • Maintain documentation for project governance, audit requirements, operational readiness reviews, and regulatory compliance activities.


Experience you'll need to have:
  • 8+ years of experience in technical project management, program delivery, or delivery management supporting complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT operations and incident management
  • 5+ year(s) of experience with monitoring and alerting tools including Splunk, Dynatrace, and Moogsoft
  • 5+ year(s) of experience with ITIL framework and production support best practices
  • 5+ year(s) of experience with enterprise communication tools 1+ years current Fiserv systems experience
  • Experience coordinating server upgrade, migration, operating system refresh, or infrastructure transformation initiatives.
  • 4-year college degree and 6 years of experience in applicable field or 8 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience


Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience delivering work in regulated, compliance-driven, or financial services environments.
  • Experience supporting cross-core platforms, enterprise application ecosystems, or shared services technology organizations.
  • Project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent certification, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.


How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range
$120,000.00 - $198,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
