Position Summary

The Senior Tax Consultant plays a key role in executing complex Transaction Tax consulting projects, including overpayment/audit reviews, tax research, and client reporting. This role requires advanced analytical skills, tax knowledge, and the ability to work independently while mentoring junior staff. The Senior Tax Consultant contributes to project delivery, client communication, and process improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead portions of transaction tax reviews, including reconciliation and taxability analysis.

  • Perform advanced tax research and provide written recommendations.

  • Review and validate vendor invoices and supporting documentation.

  • Analyze data using Excel and internal tax software tools.

  • Prepare client deliverables including refund claims and audit findings.

  • Communicate with vendors and taxing authorities for issue resolution and follow-up.

  • Support project documentation and implementation processes.

  • Mentor Associate and Tax Consultants, providing guidance and feedback.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
