We're seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our growing Tax Solutions team.
In this role, you'll work alongside experienced tax professionals to provide compliance, planning, and consulting services to a diverse client base. You'll serve as a trusted advisor on client engagements, contribute to meaningful tax strategies, and mentor developing team members-all while advancing your own career in a collaborative, fully remote environment.

What you'll do at SN:Client Service & Relationship Management- Serve as a day-to-day contact for assigned clients and engagements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, professional service.
- Gather information needed to complete tax engagements and address routine client inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams across Tax, Advisory, Assurance, Technology, Strategic Tax, and Outsourced Accounting Services.
- Identify client needs and opportunities and communicate recommendations to engagement leadership.
Tax Planning & Consulting- Support tax planning and consulting engagements for business and individual clients.
- Research federal and state tax issues and communicate findings clearly.
- Prepare tax projections, planning analyses, and supporting documentation.
- Assist clients with tax notices, examinations, and related matters.
Tax Compliance- Prepare and review partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and individual tax returns.
- Prepare state income tax filings, composite returns, and pass-through entity tax filings.
- Research tax issues and document conclusions.
- Ensure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Stay current on tax law developments and regulatory changes.
Team Development- Mentor and support Staff Accountants in their technical and professional growth.
- Review workpapers and tax returns and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to a collaborative, positive team culture.
What you may have done before:- Worked successfully in a fully remote environment.
- Worked within the Tax Department of a leading professional service firm.
- Worked within the AEC Industry.
What it takes to be a Senior Tax Associate:Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and individual taxation.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications- CPA, EA, or active pursuit of professional certification.
- Experience serving architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), or closely held business clients.
- Experience with pass-through entity taxation and multi-state filings.
- Familiarity with tax preparation and research platforms such as CCH Axcess, GoSystem, ProSystem fx, Checkpoint, or BNA.
- Experience assisting clients with IRS or state tax notices and examinations.

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $75,000 - $90,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual's skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
