Full Job Description
A career as a Senior Tax Analyst in the Canadian registered Tax Slip Management team at National Bank is an opportunity to work in a unifying group that is an essential contributor to decisions and offers a cross-sector vision of collaboration with various partners.

Your job
  • Help carry out IT projects related to regulatory changes and new business needs: Perform acceptance tests, verify and analyse data
  • Diagnose complex problem situations, intervene by proposing strategies and ensuring permanent corrective measures are implemented
  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and optimise processes
  • Collect, process and analyse data to produce reports with performance indicators (volume and forecast)
  • Work with various it sectors for different applications (OSS T80, JAVA-DI, PCIs/CMOD, etc.) during the year-end process
  • Analyze the actions to be taken to ensure that tax slip activities are carried out and assess the impact on the development of our existing platforms, draught change requests and ensure implementation with the various stakeholders and it partners
  • Initiate the actions to take and intervene with it partners and external service providers (Broadridge, MDM, ISS) to ensure that the production of slips by the various business lines is high-quality, compliant and on time
  • Intervene and monitor the resolution of incidents affecting tax slip platforms

Your team

You are part of a team of 15 colleagues in the Canadian registered Tax Slip Management sector and report to the Senior Manager. You play a key role in developing the sector's practises and quality.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience OR any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • Experience in project management
  • Critical thinking focused on problem solving and focused on improving, standardising and optimising processes
  • Solid knowledge of investment products
  • Excellent time and priority management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, good stakeholder management
  • Leadership and influence
  • Proficiency in OSS T80, JAVA-DI, PCIs, AS400, etc.
  • Very good knowledge of collaboration tools and Office suite
