We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented tax professional to join our dynamic Tax team. This full-time, hybrid position is based in either our Northbrook or Chicago, IL office.

This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional who is eager to broaden their expertise across both federal and state tax compliance and tax provision, while also gaining exposure to international tax processes. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns, assisting with quarterly and annual tax provision processes, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisors on non-US income tax compliance. You will work closely with senior team members and have the chance to build a well-rounded tax skillset, setting a strong foundation for future career growth.

Responsibilities

This full-time, hybrid (3 days in office) position is based in either our Northbrook or Chicago, IL office.
  • Prepare and review federal and state corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
  • Coordinate the collection and review of tax data from internal stakeholders for non-US income tax compliance, work with external advisors to provide necessary information, and review completed returns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required tax returns and compliance documents.
  • Assist with the quarterly and annual income tax provision process, including calculation and analysis of effective tax rate, deferred tax assets/liabilities, valuation allowance, UTPs, and other related provision activities in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare financial statement disclosures related to income tax footnotes for quarterly and annual reports.
  • Support the gathering and analysis of financial data for tax compliance and provision purposes.
  • Research and analyze tax technical issues and legislative changes impacting the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in accounting, finance, and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the tax function.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in federal and state corporate income tax compliance and/or tax provision, preferably in a public accounting firm or a large corporate tax department.
  • Experience with OneSource systems including Income Tax, Tax Provision, DataFlow, Workpapers, and/or UTP preferred.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP tax accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other tax technology tools.
    Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
