The Role:

Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of recruitment as well as leading on cross functional talent attraction, employer branding and strategic pipelining initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for a wide variety of roles at Medcan locations across Ontario
  • Design and implement innovative recruitment strategies, including alternative sourcing channels and developing talent pipelines for high-volume and “hard to hire” skillsets.
  • Partner with hiring managers to proactively identify talent needs and build strong talent pipelines.
  • Lead strategic projects on talent attraction, employer branding and process improvement.
  • Regularly collect market data and insights to provide updates to leadership and align on business requirements.
  • Conduct candidate assessments, schedule and coordinate interviews, and ensure timely communication with candidates.
  • Lead early career initiatives.
  • Build partnerships with colleges, universities, and professional associations to access their talent pools.
  • Measure, track, and report recruitment activities and performance against defined metrics.
  • Deliver best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experiences.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist.
  • Experience working in both recruitment agency and corporate Talent Acquisition environments is preferred.
  • Prior healthcare experience is an asset, specifically recruiting for allied health, nursing, and diagnostic imaging roles.
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting for hard to hire skillsets, including clinical roles, and leadership opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and process management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data and analytics to advise on hiring decisions, including regularly reporting on recruitment activity and external talent market conditions.
  • Experience leading talent pipelining strategies and employer branding projects.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing leaders to provide a positive candidate experience and represent a strong employer brand.
  • Results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work quickly while managing competing priorities.
  • Advanced talent sourcing skills, with experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and headhunting.
  • Experience with Workday, as an asset.

Position Pay Range

$73,699.00 - $101,335.00 CAD annually

 

Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives.
