Senior Systems Architect to support the design and implementation of enterprise-level information system architectures. This role is responsible for developing integrated solutions across software, hardware, and communications platforms to meet current and future cross-functional requirements.
Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating solution options, developing high-level system design diagrams, and ensuring compliance with open systems standards such as OSI, ISO, and IEEE frameworks. The position also involves analyzing workflows, organizational processes, and system performance to identify issues and implement effective corrective actions that enhance overall system efficiency and reliability.
What you will do:- Design architecture including software, hardware, and communications
- Support present and future cross-functional requirements
- Identify, assess, and present options for requirements
- Develop high-level system design diagrams
- Ensure systems comply with OSI and ISO reference models
- Ensure compliance with IEEE OSE reference model standards
- Ensure common operating environment is compliant
- Evaluate and resolve workflow and organizational problems
What you will bring: - BA/BS in a technical or managerial discipline
- 10 years of experience in systems architecture
- Experience designing software, hardware, and communications architecture
- Knowledge of OSI and ISO reference models
- Experience developing high-level system design diagrams
- Ability to evaluate workflow and organizational problems
How you will wow us:- Extensive experience designing systems for DoD, DISA, or DES
- Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance strongly preferred
- Ability to work on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA
- Experience architecting solutions for classified defense environments
- Deep knowledge of DoD technical standards (OSI, ISO, IEEE)
- Background in enterprise architecture for defense agencies
