What You'll Do
Support strategic IT initiatives across the organization by designing, testing, and analyzing processing systems that align with user needs and system specifications. Partner with senior systems administrators and key stakeholders to strengthen system administration, data architecture, reporting, and data controls while evaluating the effectiveness of core systems and translating business requirements into reliable solutions.
Install, administer, upgrade, patch, and performance-tune Oracle and other core databases, and research, recommend, implement, maintain, and document software and network solutions. Provide responsive technical support to end users and IT staff, assist with vendor product and service evaluations, and work professionally with auditors, examiners, and regulatory agencies to support secure, effective, and compliant operations.
Who You Are
You bring a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. You also have at least five years of experience administering IT systems, including hands-on experience with Oracle databases, along with administrative or supervisory experience. A valid driver's license is required.
You have hands-on systems engineering experience leading projects from initial concept through planning and implementation. You are proficient in network operating systems; Windows and Linux server and workstation administration; Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy; operating system and network security; data communication protocols, standards, and hardware; SQL Developer and scripting; and enterprise technologies such as SAN, clustering, backup, and recovery solutions.
You are a collaborative, resourceful problem-solver who works effectively with minimal direction, troubleshoots complex issues, and moves quickly toward practical solutions. You partner well with others to keep software and systems reliable, available, and aligned with business objectives and operational needs.
What Success Looks Like
You successfully lead multiple initiatives from requirements discovery through implementation, working closely with architects, developers, business partners, and support teams to deliver practical, reliable solutions. You coordinate third-party integrations, create and execute regression test plans for core system releases, clearly report discrepancies, and guide stakeholders and teammates throughout each project.
Core systems and applications operate efficiently, securely, and with minimal disruption. You proactively manage Fiserv and other vendor service cases, maintain user access, monitor and troubleshoot daily, nightly, month-end, and year-end processing, and respond quickly to outages or escalations affecting critical business functions. Through accurate documentation, process verification, automation, and thoughtful evaluation of emerging technologies, you improve system performance, compliance, availability, and recoverability.
You are a trusted technical leader who mentors team members, helps process owners solve challenges using business rules and performance insights, and keeps branches, departments, management, and the Network Engineer informed of key activities and significant issues. You build professional relationships with vendors, resolve concerns promptly, complete required documentation and special projects, and maintain a regular and predictable schedule.
