Full Job Description
We're seeking a detail-driven and strategic Senior Supply Chain Analyst to lead execution of enterprise-wide product substitution programs within ADI's global semiconductor supply chain. This role serves as the primary execution lead - driving cross-functional alignment, safeguarding data integrity, and ensuring supply continuity through every phase of the substitution lifecycle.

This role is ideal for professionals with 3-5 years of experience who thrive in complex, data-intensive environments and are passionate about operational excellence, process standardization, and cross-functional coordination across high-tech manufacturing operations.

About Product Substitution In semiconductor manufacturing, products evolve as materials improve, processes change, or legacy parts are replaced by newer equivalents. Product substitution is the structured process of transitioning from one product to another while preserving customer commitments, order integrity, and supply continuity. Because these changes involve updates to process flows where customer acceptance has not yet been received, each step must be carefully coordinated to prevent premature shipment or configuration. This role is the central point of execution - driving these projects and system improvements to ensure success.

Key Responsibilities

Substitution Lifecycle Management
  • Lead end-to-end execution of product substitution events from initial assessment through activation, monitoring, and closeout, ensuring all milestones are met on time and with full data accuracy
  • Manage a portfolio of concurrent substitution programs, proactively identifying dependencies, resolving blockers, and escalating risks to maintain execution momentum
  • Serve as the quality gate owner, verifying that all master data, engineering documentation, customer approvals, and system configurations are complete and accurate prior to activation
  • Coordinate Product Change Notification (PCN) activities and maintain customer approval tracking to ensure substitution events support overall project goals

Operational Execution & Support
  • Drive initiatives to improve substitution throughput, reduce cycle times, and increase process consistency across global manufacturing and distribution sites
  • Support seamless order transitions during substitution events, ensuring data integrity and preservation of customer commitments throughout the process
  • Execute substitution closeout activities, ensuring all configurations are cleanly deactivated and systems are returned to a steady state
  • Manage material availability and backlog alignment throughout substitution events, including coordination of VMI/VMR execution to maintain uninterrupted supply to customers

Governance, Reporting & Visibility
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, status reports, and exception summaries to provide leadership with clear visibility into substitution progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Prepare and present project updates and post-event analyses to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Operations teams to ensure all stakeholders are aligned at each stage and supply continuity is preserved
  • Contribute to the design and documentation of standardized workflows, functional specifications, and automation opportunities that improve execution scalability
  • Coordinate with IT and data teams to support digital transformation efforts, including system enhancements and process automation initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain operations, master data management, or project execution in a manufacturing or high-tech environment
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) - including material master, BOM structures, sales configuration, and order management
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities across distributed teams

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with product substitution, change notification, or product lifecycle management processes
  • Familiarity with BOM coordination, engineering change workflows, and cross-plant material configurations
  • Experience managing cross-functional workflows in a matrixed global organization
  • Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing processes or fab operations
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools or enterprise process digitization initiatives
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting integration and how substitution events impact planning cycles
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) preferred
