We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer, who is passionate about the construction process to join our Atlanta, GA team. A DAY IN THE LIFE - Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team - Prepare preliminary designs for clients - Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design - Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers - Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction - Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy - Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS - BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering - 8-10+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction - Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design - Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is preferred - Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred - Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite - Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required OneFourTwo does not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third-party recruiting agencies without pre-approval from OneFourTwo's Human Resource team.
