Full Job Description
Position Summary
The Senior Strategic Solutions Manager is responsible for leading the business solution and contracting strategy in assigned area. This includes effectively managing the account priorities for proactive business solutions with their Operational Solutions Manager and successfully achieving the business solutions and contracting strategy with complex and system accounts. This is a cross-functional role that requires the collaboration of several Caris departments, and the Senior Strategic Solutions Manager must run point in their area to provide high-level solutions and meaningful outcomes to their customers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build partnerships with decision makers within laboratory and hospital administration to achieve meaningful business solution outcomes.
  • Effectively develop and present business and contracting strategies and proposals aligned to organizational and customer needs with consideration to ROI and ASP.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings in-person or virtually.
  • Negotiate complex contract terms and pricing to deliver solutions for Caris' portfolio of offerings with a wide range of customers including Hospital Systems, GPOs and IDN's.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements and statutory pricing regulations.
  • Effectively manage competing contract priorities from initiation through post-execution to include establishing optimized contract workflows and term adherence.
  • Maintain communication with legal team on contracting redlines and terms.
  • Strategically collaborate with commercial team on complex, high-impact accounts to include Strategic Accounts and Regional Business Directors.
  • Responsible for driving the LEADS/LAGS to include leading the priorities and activities of all business solutions in the Area.
  • Identify and develop training and ongoing development opportunities for team and new hires.
  • Ensure that all services delivered in assigned area are high quality and delivered in an excellent customer-focused manner.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in various hospital administration and laboratory-related areas of focus.
  • Strong attention to detail & organizational skills, with emphasis on document control, repository maintenance and tracking deliverables.
  • Monitor and analyze account metrics to address or delegate any gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities by initiating new and innovative ideas to improve/expand business solutions for both internal and external partners.
  • Reliably meet and exceed established team goals and initiatives within timelines set by management.
  • Maintain open communication with direct leadership and other internal leaders to review progress, strategic challenges, and opportunities across assigned area.
  • Maintain and grow "core" knowledge of Caris offerings, competitive landscape, and hospital/laboratory administration issues.
  • Maintain all assigned company assets including laptop computer, iPhone, etc.
  • Submit all necessary paperwork, business plans, reports and expenses as required, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform ancillary projects or other related duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain HIPAA and other compliance guidelines at all times.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, life sciences, or related field and/or a minimum 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively implementing business-solution related initiatives, managing challenging situations and problem solving.
  • Must be able to utilize critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing timelines, projects, documentation and tracking progress, and resolving conflicts.
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task and manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, matrixed environment.
  • Possesses strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Must possess skills in building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with clients, internal sales teams and other cross-functional departments.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce), reporting tools (i.e., Tableau), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent team lead and people management skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
  • Prior leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Familiarity with hospital systems and pathology networks.
  • Established relationships within the hospital, laboratory, and pathology space.
  • Prior contracting negotiation experience.
