Job Description: What's the Role? We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll work with a team of talented engineers while actively contributing to architecture, design, and development of our core systems. You'll play a key role in scaling the team, ensuring technical excellence, and develop software programs for products from concept to deployment Responsibilities • A critical part of not just the technology team, but to the organization as an excellent back-end engineer with good experience with front-end technologies. Develops and maintains Java-based website architecture, functionality, and API integrations. • Monitors and research emerging technologies, external platforms and services, consumer behavior and site analytics to discover innovation and integration opportunities. • Ensures the team's supported applications are healthy and triages issues to the appropriate personnel. • Build reusable software components for interfacing and use with our front-end platforms. • Experience with AI driven development (like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) • Collaborates with development leadership, product management, and other product engineering functional areas to translate business objectives and initiatives into technical solutions. • Interfaces with broader Tech Team to ensure proper alignment with existing enterprise platforms and roadmap. • Ensures user interface design and development adheres to best practices for user security, data privacy, user experience, core web vitals, and accessibility. • The majority of the job will be hands on coding, participating in design discussions, and code reviews.
