About the PositionWe are seeking a Senior Specialist (Generalist) to join our Human Resources team based in our Montre9al office. The successful candidate will report directly to the office's Senior Director of Human Resources. Acting as a trusted adviser and consultant to business leaders, this individual will anticipate business needs and take a proactive approach to owning the full member of the firm lifecycle, from discovery through advising and inventing tailored solutions to their delivery. As a seasoned generalist, the successful candidate will drive every facet of the Human Resources function, including talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management, total rewards and employee value proposition, HR policies, projects and initiatives aimed at fostering a high-quality experience for our people, as well as offboarding, in order to support the firm's growth and performance.
Primary ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition and Onboarding- Lead the full recruitment cycle for Business Professional roles, from needs definition through hiring, acting as a trusted adviser to hiring managers throughout the process.
- Anticipate departmental workforce needs and develop proactive sourcing strategies to attract top talent in a competitive market.
- Design and deploy rigorous interview processes and assessment tools to identify candidates best aligned with the firm's culture and needs.
- Negotiate employment offers and orchestrate a seamless, positive candidate experience from first contact through offer acceptance.
- Develop and deliver impactful onboarding programs that equip new hires with the tools they need to succeed from day one and accelerate their time to meaningful contribution.
- Partner closely with managers to ensure structured check-ins throughout the onboarding period and drive stronger retention of new talent.
Talent Management, Total Rewards and Employee Value Proposition- Advise and coach managers on performance management, identification of high-potential talent and succession planning.
- Design and lead career development plans and internal mobility initiatives to retain the firm's key talent.
- Anticipate talent management challenges and bring department leaders innovative, proactive solutions.
- Analyze total rewards practices and formulate strategic recommendations to ensure the firm's competitiveness and internal equity.
- Develop and champion a distinctive employee value proposition aligned with the firm's brand.
- Act as a trusted adviser to business leaders on compensation, benefits and recognition matters.
- Conduct market analyses and benchmarking studies to inform the firm's compensation decisions.
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of talent management and total rewards initiatives through feedback, performance metrics and outcomes, continuously improving existing practices.
- Oversee the firm member's departure, including exit interviews, file transitions and compliance with applicable policies and obligations, while surfacing actionable insights to reduce turnover.
Qualifications- Demonstrated experience as a generalist Human Resources business partner, with a proven track record in talent acquisition, talent management and total rewards.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations or any other relevant field with at least ten (10) years of relevant Human Resources experience.
- Excellent influencing skills, sharp political acumen and strong business judgment.
- Adept with technology and able to quickly learn and apply new systems, tools and platforms relevant to the role.
- Highly anticipatory, results-oriented mindset.
- Proactive, with strong attention to detail.
- Skilled at building trusted relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience within an organization active in the professional services industry would be an asset.
- Bilingual in French and English would be a strong asset.
