Job Description

Client Enablement is a global function that provides specialist support to BNY Investments Clients, working closely with Relationship Management and Client Services. The team's main focus is the onboarding of new clients and distributor relationships, specifically the preparation and negotiation of legal documentation and identification and risk acceptance of non-standard requirements. In addition, Client Enablement supports mandate governance for existing clients as well as the implementation of ethical threshold-based restrictions. The team also supports regulatory change agenda where impacts to clients/client-facing teams are identified. Finally, team members co-ordinate and support responses to ESG-related ad-hoc queries from a range of stakeholders, including clients, prospects, platforms, distributors and consultants.

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Client Service to join the BNY Investments team. This role is located in Pittsburgh.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Preparation, review, negotiation of CIT documentation for US based clients, working closely with Legal, Compliance the business.
  • Triage and negotiation of bespoke IMAs (including investment guidelines) for SMAs, working closely with Legal, Compliance and the business to firstly identify non-standard requirements and then to either negotiate, identify workable solutions and/or obtain business risk acceptance for such items.
  • Act as gatekeepers to the BNY Investments Business Acceptance Council, the forum that risk accepts non-standard client requirements.
  • Support distribution activities, including binding RFPs, to ensure any non-standard requirements are identified and then risk accepted by the business.
  • Co-ordinate any changes to client legal documents required post onboarding.
  • Support sub-advisory clients with prospectus/SAI updates.
  • Maintain client records related to team responsibilities in an organised fashion.
  • Perform key control functions in respect of mandate governance, ensuring any issues identified are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Represent client-facing teams in respect of any regulatory change initiatives, attending internal and external working groups, identifying impacts to Newton's client's and/or distribution operating model, developing solutions and overseeing implementation to ensure compliance.
  • Support team initiatives and projects as required.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
