Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Space & Occupancy Planner to support Property Management's planning, optimization, and management of space utilization and occupancy across Oracle's North America data center portfolio. Based in Nashville, this role is responsible for developing long-term space strategies, optimizing occupancy, and ensuring data center facilities are positioned to support OCI's rapid growth and operational excellence.
As a senior individual contributor, you will serve as the subject matter expert for space and occupancy planning, partnering closely with Global Real Estate, Data Center Operations, Capacity Planning, Construction, Engineering, Security, and Design groups. You will leverage data-driven insights to develop portfolio strategies, improve operational efficiency, and support executive decision-making.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, experience managing complex facility portfolios, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizations without direct management responsibility.

Responsibilities

Strategic Space Planning
  • Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term space planning strategies for Oracle's North America data center portfolio.
  • Create space allocation plans that optimize utilization while supporting operational and business growth requirements.
  • Conduct scenario planning to evaluate future space needs and expansion opportunities.
  • Develop master space plans that align with organizational priorities and infrastructure growth.

Occupancy Planning & Portfolio Management

  • Lead occupancy planning activities to support workforce growth, operational teams, vendors, and business partners.
  • Monitor occupancy levels, seating capacity, and space utilization to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Coordinate moves, adds, and changes (MAC) activities to minimize operational disruption.
  • Maintain accurate occupancy and space inventory records across assigned facilities.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze occupancy trends, utilization metrics, and portfolio performance to support strategic planning.
  • Develop executive dashboards, reports, and presentations highlighting key performance indicators and recommendations.
  • Forecast future occupancy requirements using business growth projections and operational demand.
  • Provide actionable insights that support capital planning and investment decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Global Real Estate, Data Center Operations, Capacity Planning, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Security, and Design groups.
  • Support new data center deployments, expansions, consolidations, and infrastructure projects through effective space planning.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure space requirements are incorporated into facility design and construction activities.

Process Improvement & Governance
  • Develop and implement standardized space planning methodologies, processes, and governance frameworks
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance space management efficiency and data quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Oracle standards, policies, and workplace planning guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and planning processes using technology and analytics.


Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $110,200 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
