Job Description:

This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include contributing to a technology strategy and ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable system design enterprise standards. Job expectations include advocating and advancing modern and automated practices and promoting exceptional design, engineering and organizational practices.

Manages design, configuration, and certification for a large or several small to medium systems. Deals with most difficult or complex systems and generates new design ideas. Interfaces with business areas to ensure all initiatives support business strategies and goals. Primary liaison with vendors, consultants and Sr Tech Mgrs. Typically 10 or more years of systems experience

Looking for a professional engineer with in-depth knowledge of carrier/transport and SIP access technologies. The position will reside in Bank of America Access/Shared Services Engineering team directly supporting Architecture and Engineering functions for Collaboration and Productivity products and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides solution design feedback to Solution II, Development Operations II, and Site Reliability Engineers and manages solution delivery as relevant to teams
  • Facilitates solution-driven discussions, leads the design of complex architectural components, and finds creative solutions using knowledge of the domain and operational constraints
  • Leads rapid shaping of infrastructure and application architecture to solve for emerging business requirements, ensuring design is flexible and modular
  • Designs solutions that are compliant all relevant risk, financial, and compliance polices, and standards
  • Manages the application performance in production (application health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews)
  • Participates in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domains

  • Engineering documentation in relation to fast moving program
  • Provide program guidance and develop program timelines from an engineering point of view in partnership with our program management office
  • Develop ROM/SOW quotes for projects for equipment placement and licensing
  • Assist in the development of project supporting documentation/information to include Bill of Materials (BOMs), cost estimates and equipment placement requests.
  • Directly support business initiated projects.
  • Direct and communicate with leadership on status of programs and open issues.
  • Provide local software and hardware support requiring complex integrated configurations in the areas of; Ribbon SBC (9k, 7k, 2k), SecureLogix, Intrado E911, SIP and Session Management, LAN/WAN, VoIP, Toll Free Engineering, with integrations to products such as Avaya, Cisco, and Genesys.
  • Complete SIT testing, document results, develop and write scripts, MOP and low level designs for implementation and configuration of Ribbon SBC, SecureLogix, Intrado E911 and associated integrations


Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in program communication and program management
  • Excellent customer service skills including reporting, organization, written and oral communication and task prioritization.
  • Communication skills a must, powerpoint, visio, structured program updates
  • Must be highly motivated and a self-directed individual.
  • Experience with configuration and support experience in a complex multi-layered network environment.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines and high pressure environment.
  • Ability to partner with communicate to technical resources while concurrently delivering presentation materials and program management details to C-Level is critical to this roles success.

Pay range

$151,200.00 - $193,600.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
