Senior Software Systems Integration Engineer An innovative aerospace company developing next-generation launch vehicles is seeking a Senior Software Systems Integration Engineer to support software verification, integration, testing, and launch readiness activities for mission-critical systems. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing engineering organization at the forefront of space transportation, working closely with software, hardware, test, and operations teams to ensure reliable system performance through vehicle testing and launch operations. Location: Long Beach, CA (On-site) Travel: 25-50% to test and launch facilities Key Responsibilities: Own software system verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and requirements traceability Develop test matrices, procedures, pass/fail criteria, and readiness documentation Support software-hardware integration, system-level testing, and anomaly investigations Coordinate software readiness reviews ahead of major test and launch milestones Develop dashboards, monitoring tools, and documentation to track software system health and performance Support launch and test operations, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-test reviews Assist with software configuration management, change control processes, and release readiness activities Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline 2+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration & Test, Verification & Validation (V&V), Software Test Engineering, or related roles Experience developing and executing test plans, validation procedures, and system-level testing activities Familiarity with software configuration management, version control, and release processes Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and cross-functional communication skills Experience with: Python Git / GitLab CI/CD pipelines Software testing and debugging Preferred Qualifications: Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomous systems, or other high-reliability environments Experience with SQL, telemetry analysis, or time-series data visualization Familiarity with C++ or Rust Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama Launch vehicle, spacecraft, avionics, or mission operations experience What's Offered: Competitive compensation package Equity participation / stock options Comprehensive healthcare coverage Opportunity to support cutting-edge launch vehicle development High-impact role supporting test, launch, and mission success Career growth within a rapidly expanding aerospace organization If you're interested in helping shape the future of aerospace, Apply today.
