About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) within Digital Onboarding team to design, develop, and lead modern, scalable frontend applications. This role requires deep expertise in current frontend technologies, strong architectural skills, and the ability to mentor engineers while partnering closely with product, design, and backend teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3 years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and optimizing build performance at scale

  • 3 years of experience with front-end frameworks, such as React

  • 3 years of state management (Redux, Zustand, NgRx, etc.) experience

  • 3 years of modern CSS (CSS3, Flexbox, Grid, preprocessors, CSSinJS) experience

  • 3 years of experience building responsive, accessible, and highperformance UI solutions

  • 2+ years of experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress etc.)

  • 2+ years of exposure to micro-frontends

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of Browser internals, performance optimization, and debugging experience

  • Experience modernizing legacy frontend applications

  • Experience in enterprise or large-scale consumer applications

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities

  • Angular or Vue.js experience

  • Knowledge of: RESTful APIs and frontendbackend integration

  • Familiarity with modern build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Rollup, etc.)

  • Experience in AI assisted development tools such as Co-pilot and Devin

Job Expectations:
