Full Job Description
Role:

The Senior Software Engineer - Systems will design, implement, and maintain integration and data flow solutions across all of Acquisition.com's data endeavors. This individual will architect abstractions and connection frameworks to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficient data movement. With a lean, agent-driven development paradigm, you will take multiple initiatives from idea to delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Write, test, and maintain data pipelines, automation frameworks, and shared TypeScript libraries.
  • Develop integrations between internal and external systems through robust, reusable code.
  • Build and maintain scalable abstractions and connection layers that unify data systems.
  • Implement and optimize AWS-based infrastructure for storage, compute, and deployment.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility through code-driven validation and monitoring.
  • Continuously refine system architecture in code to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, leadership, and business teams to deliver actionable insights from data.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience building complex, high-impact systems.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, integration frameworks, and automation workflows.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript for developing scalable services, shared libraries, and system integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of databases, data architecture, and distributed systems, with the ability to translate data into actionable business use cases.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability tooling.
  • Experience with agent-driven development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.

Schedule:
  • Work hours aligned with local timezone or Pacific timezone 8a-5p M-F
  • Flexible to travel to Vegas on demand (~1-4 times a year)
  • Must be flexible and able to work additional hours/weekends before workshop events/holidays if the situation warrants it
Location:
  • Remote, USA
Compensation:
  • $171,000 - $220,000 base salary
  • The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below).
