Atlas Stream Processing enables developers to continuously process streaming data alongside critical application data stored in their database. It builds upon MongoDB's integrated developer data platform; enabling developers to stand up a stream processor and database with just a few API calls and lines of code, all fully managed on Atlas. As our product rapidly gains traction with customers, you will be instrumental in contributing to and owning the development of core new features. On the Platform team you will tackle complex distributed system problems with the goal of making our platform more scalable, reliable, and secure.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Austin or New York City for our hybrid working model.
Position Expectations- Design, build and deliver well-tested core pieces of the service in collaboration with other stakeholders
- Contribute to shaping architecture, code reviews and development practices, developer experience as the product grows
- Mentor fellow engineers and assume ownership and accountability of projects
Qualifications- Strong background in building core components for data processing systems (including query execution, storage engines, autotuning and workload optimization) and distributed systems
- 5+ years experience of building distributed systems, and/or foundational cloud services at scale and an interest in working with Go and Java
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (eg. Kubernetes) and Observability tools.
- Proven success in designing, writing, testing, debugging, performance tuning, possessing a strong grip on the foundational materials of computer science and maintaining distributed and/or highly concurrent software systems in large, long-lived code bases
- Track record of identifying problems, implementing solutions and delivering complex projects in distributed systems or databases
- Good verbal and written technical communication skills, desire to collaborate with colleagues
MongoDB's base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package. $126,000-$248,000 USD
