The Work
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable DevOps solutions and CI/CD pipelines that support efficient software delivery. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, reliability, and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain complex software applications in languages such as Python, Java, Bash, and Powershell.
- Implement solutions for an enterprise-scale network, including building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Software-defined Networking (SDN) solutions to optimize network management.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all software, including CI/CD pipelines, architecture, configuration, and tooling guides.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts and services using Python or Java to improve DevOps workflows
- The candidate may be required to support critical activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Who You Are
A successful candidate must understand and be dedicated to the C2BMC Mission including Missile and Space Defense. The successful candidate will need to utilize good communication skills and good organizational skills to facilitate collaboration across the many organizations necessary to accomplish challenging missions.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications

- Must have an 8140 Compliant Certification such as: Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
- Must have an active Final Secret Security Clearance and must maintain a valid US passport.
- Must be able to travel to alternate work locations to execute job duties such as deployments.
- Experience coding in various programming languages, including Python and Java, as well as scripting languages such as Bash and Powershell.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, API integration (particularly the REST API), and Git version control.
- Strong ability in scripting and test automation of software tools.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems (e.g., GitLab)
- Experience building, maintaining, or supporting CI/CD pipelines utilizing DevOps practices (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving moderately complex system or pipeline issues

Desired Skills

-Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
- An Active Top Secret Security Clearance is a plus
- Prior C2BMC experience
- Developing KPIs and tracking other metrics and creating reports.
- Front-end design experience, particularly in languages such as JavaScript (ideally the React framework), TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience in cybersecurity, particularly vulnerability management, monitoring, and remediation.
- Experience in commercial tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and/or VMware Aria.
- Experience in basic networking principles and configuration of networking equipment.
-Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and basic orchestration concepts
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
-Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
- Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated engineers as well as independently at times on large field projects.
- Experience collaborating across teams to deliver features and improvements

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
