Full Job Description
The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced System Engineer to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.
As a Systems Engineer on NGI, you should have a complete understanding of at least one of the key system subject areas with the opportunity to work in all fields to include systems definition, decomposition, allocation, traceability, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, analysis, and test.
You will be expected to leverage this understanding to support major program reviews, including SRR, PDR, and CDR, participate in specification and interface development/documentation, and support the development of verification plans.
You may also have the opportunity to participate in system-level analyses in support of mission planning/execution and tests at various test ranges.
Some travel may be required.
Successful candidate will typically have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 2+ years of related professional work experience

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience and knowledge of processes in one or more of the following areas:
1. Systems Engineering approach and processes
2. Requirement definition, decomposition, and allocation
3. Interface definition (ICD, IBDs, IDDs)
4. Missile system analyses used in requirement derivation and verification
5. Planning and coordinating hardware and/or software testing for verification
6. System integration
7. Support to SRR, PDR, CDR
8. Writing specifications and/or formal, peer reviewed technical documents
9. DOORS
10. Cameo
• At least an Interim Secret Clearance required to start work
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain Final DoD Secret Clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
