Standard Job DescriptionThe Work The Submarine C5I Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) program is seeking a full-time, highly motivated Execution Team Lead. As a Team Lead, you will guide a cross-functional team through design, integration, and test activities that span New Construction (NEWCON) and modernization platforms. Your guidance will drive the delivery of a robust and reliable combat system to the Submarine Force. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with hands-on leadership to align goals, manage schedules, drive process excellence, and foster a high-performing collaborative environment.
Who You Are
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders across 11 Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) subsystems, representing the team's technical focus areas while maintaining transparent communication.
• Direct the integration of production solutions with SE&I Architecture product teams, defining workflow and communication standards that align with and advance the program's objectives.
• Operate autonomously under general direction; set assignment goals for the team, execute work, and present deliverables for review at critical milestones.
• Cultivate a positive team culture by removing blockers, mentoring members, and coordinating career development plans with the leadership team.
• Clearly communicate program objectives to the team and ensure their goals and priorities are aligned with the overall program strategy.
• Oversee and drive timely completion of Feature and Bug work, ensuring proper status tracking, testing, and verification.
• Coordinate System of System level testing (e.g., SLTs) and provide logistics and personnel support for demo events (SOP, Ops Demo) as well as for NEWCON and dockside testing.
• Own the team's master schedule, tracking all milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Proactively identify, assess, and drive mitigation of technical and schedule risks.
• Enforce consistent execution of defined processes and procedures while partnering with the team to identify improvement opportunities and lead change implementation.
• Assess staffing needs, coordinate with leadership to fill gaps, and allocate resources efficiently across projects and tasks.
• Provide practical solutions to a broad spectrum of complex technical problems, ensuring they align with program objectives and constraints.
• Influence program strategy by providing input on objectives, contributing to roadmap discussions, and driving alignment with senior leadership.
• Supply timely, relevant inputs for Bay/Hardware planning decisions.

Basic QualificationsTo excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field) from an accredited institution with 4+ years of related experience; or comparable experience in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated experience in systems engineering and/or integration/test, with proven problem-solving abilities to develop technical solutions for large-scale, complex projects.
• Demonstrated leadership experience across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with submarine combat systems or similar Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber, and Intelligence (C5I) systems.
• Experience working on teams in a geographically dispersed and virtual environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of technical and interpersonal competency.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Desired Skills• Experience (or strong familiarity) with SWFTS architecture & infrastructure including operating systems, display systems, time distribution, and/or network infrastructure (switches).
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence products, including experience with agile project planning, issue tracking, and collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and tools.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and principles.
• Knowledge of system and software architecture concepts, such as containerization and cloud technologies
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
