The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, and supports secure enterprise applications, cloud-native services, and automated software delivery solutions. • Implement deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling) and validate system readiness prior to production releases.
  • Apply secure coding standards and dependency management practices; support shift-left security practices (i.e., integrating security testing and secure coding standards early in design and development, rather than only before deployment) throughout the SDLC.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps and SRE teams on release engineering, post-deployment validation, and rollback/backout procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of automation, security integration, and deployment efficiency across HAPS applications.
  • Please be aware that this role may require some light travel as deemed necessary by the customer.

  • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes-based application deployment
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for application environments and supporting cloud resources.
  • Experience instrumenting applications with logging, metrics, and tracing to support observability and reliability monitoring.
  • Must be able to occasionally travelC.
  • Must have a US Citizenship
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • The ability to travel, as needed, to customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with Site Reliability Engineers to align application instrumentation with SLIs and SLOs.
  • Experience improving deployment frequency and reducing change failure rate.
