Senior Java Developer

Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to help modernize a mission-critical government application. In this role, you'll upgrade and improve existing software, enhance system performance, and ensure applications remain secure and reliable.

You'll work with Java, Python, Apache Solr, Tomcat, Oracle databases, and VMware infrastructure while collaborating with infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver successful system upgrades with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
  • Upgrade and modernize enterprise Java applications.
  • Develop and maintain Java and Python applications.
  • Improve legacy code using modern development practices.
  • Support secure software development in a government environment.
  • Upgrade and maintain Apache Solr, Zookeeper, and Tomcat.
  • Migrate Solr index data during system upgrades.
  • Integrate applications with Oracle 19c databases.
  • Support Apache Directory Studio and SAP Business Intelligence integrations.
