Senior DevOps Engineer

Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the modernization of a mission-critical government information system. In this role, you'll automate deployments, manage infrastructure, and help migrate enterprise applications from on-premises environments to AWS.

You'll work with GitLab CI/CD, AWS, Apache Solr, Nexus Repository, and Windows Server environments to improve system reliability, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate deployments across development, test, and production environments.
  • Manage Nexus Repository for artifact storage and dependency management.
  • Develop infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
  • Build and maintain Apache Solr clusters with Zookeeper.
  • Administer Windows Server environments and support infrastructure upgrades.
  • Plan and execute migrations from VMware-based infrastructure to AWS.
  • Configure and manage AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3.
  • Support containerization of Java applications.

$155,000 - $205,000 per year
