Job DescriptionThe Impact You Will Have in This RoleAs a Senior Software Engineer within Enterprise Cloud Services, you will design, build, and support mission-critical applications that power DTCC's core platforms. You will deliver scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native solutions while driving modernization through microservices, event-driven architectures, automation, and AI-enabled engineering practices.
Working closely with architects, product teams, and engineering partners, you will help shape the next generation of high-performance platforms in a highly regulated, always-on environment.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Java-based applications and microservices.
- Build scalable, resilient, and secure APIs, integrations, and event-driven solutions.
- Deliver software across the full SDLC, from design through production support.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and database solutions.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution.
- Partner with business, architecture, and infrastructure teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to modernization initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Embed security, risk management, resiliency, and operational readiness into daily engineering practices.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 6-8+ years of software engineering experience.
Talent Needed for Success - Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, SQL development, and query optimization.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and observability practices.
- Proven ability to design highly available, scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, production support, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for modern engineering practices, continuous improvement, and technology innovation.
- Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot, Kiro, Generative AI, or AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and software quality.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
