Overview

i3 isseeking a Software Engineer with7+ years of professional experience to develop cutting edge command and control (C2) and autonomy softwareforvarious uncrewed platforms including planes, boats, vehicles, and submersibles.This is a new project leveraging the latest .NET tools, best practices,and technologyto support various DoD customers.

Responsibilities
  • The candidate will work withanAgile software developmentteam delivering value to a DoD customerin small, incrementaliterations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for followingpre-definedsoftware safety practicestodevelop flight critical software.This includes software architecture reviews, documentation updates, and comprehensive testing of new capabilities.
  • Candidate will develop software designs using best practices and object-oriented methodologies.
  • Candidate will developautomatedunit and integration level tests.
  • Candidate will utilize good configuration management practices and will be responsible for proper code maintenance, merging, and configuration management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education, Experience and Required skills:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Have aBachelor of Sciencedegree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the hard sciences.
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Candidate must be a team player and be creative, adaptive, and excited to learn.
  • Comfortable inaLinuxenvironment.
  • Experience leading smalltomid-sizeddevelopment teams.
  • Candidatemustbe familiar with good configuration management practices.
  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Position Location:In officeinHuntsville, AL
  • CONUS Travel required: Less than 10%

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Experience withC#/.NET,PythonRust.
  • Prefer understanding ofagile software development, ideally Extreme Programming (XP).
  • Familiarity withGitfor software source control and configuration management.
  • Experiencewith remote controlled boats, vehicles, or planes is a plus.
  • Experience withsingle boardcomputers (Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, etc.).
  • Familiarity withUxS command and control message formats(ex. STANAG-4586,UCI,MAVLink).
  • Experiencedeveloping next generationC2 architectures for the DoD.
