We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG), Global Mailbox, and Connect:
Direct to support critical enterprise file transfer platforms that enable payment processing, client onboarding, and secure data exchange across the banks global ecosystem.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing secure managed file transfer solutions while ensuring high availability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
Design, develop, and support solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG), Global Mailbox, and IBM Connect:
Direct. Configure and maintain SFG routing rules, code lists, business processes, partner profiles, and file transfer workflows. Support secure file exchanges for ACH, EFT, wire payments, treasury, cash management, and other banking services.
Onboard internal and external partners, including setup of certificates, encryption keys, communication protocols, and connectivity testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to file transfers, duplicate processing, routing failures, and partner connectivity.
Perform application maintenance activities, upgrades, patching, and environment health checks.
Monitor platform performance and availability using IBM Control Center and enterprise monitoring tools.
Implement and maintain file encryption, decryption, and secure transmission standards.
Collaborate with business, operations, infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver secure and reliable solutions.
Participate in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and recovery activities.
C reate and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across Sterling platform initiatives.
