Role Description
The Android Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining Android mobile applications that deliver seamless digital experiences for customers, employees, and business partners. The role supports digital transformation initiatives by building scalable, secure, and high performing mobile applications aligned with business objectives. Working closely with product owners, business stakeholders, UX designers, architects, QA teams, and backend developers, the developer translates business requirements into intuitive mobile solutions. The role participates throughout the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, deployment, support, modernization, and continuous improvement while contributing to mobile development standards and best practices.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and enhance Android applications based on business requirements. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to deliver high quality mobile solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Review application designs and recommend improvements for usability, scalability, and maintainability. Integrate backend APIs and enterprise services into mobile applications. Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and production incidents. Conduct peer code reviews and maintain technical documentation. Support application deployments, release management, architecture discussions, security reviews, and modernization initiatives. Analyze customer feedback and application usage to identify improvements. Mentor junior developers, support knowledge sharing, maintain application reliability and performance, ensure compliance with enterprise standards, and contribute to long term mobile platform strategy.
