The ezCater platform team focuses on building shared platform capabilities for our infrastructure so that our engineers can ship quality software reliably, safely and quickly. This role is centered on building backend services, APIs, infrastructure components and reliable distributed systems. You'll actively partner cross-functionally with product engineering teams to ensure that we are building the right experiences that will in turn drive customer growth and adoption.
What You'll do:
- Build internal developer platforms, shared services, APIs and libraries that support integrations and core platform capabilities.
- Design reliable backend systems for cross-domain business flows and operationally critical use cases.
- Partner with product, security and engineering peers to turn ambiguous problems into well-scoped, high quality deliverables.
- Own quality through testing, observability, safe rollout practices and production issue investigation.
- Have a self-service mindset to improve developer velocity and reduce toil.
What You Have:
- 5+ years of strong software engineering experience building backend systems and APIs in production.
- Experience in Go
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Service mesh (Istio), Terraform (or similar IaC tools) and CI/CD systems.
- Comfort with workflow orchestration, event-driven architectures and operational complexity.
- Experience with observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or similar).
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis).
- Experience building shared platform capabilities used by multiple teams or products.
- A strong quality mindset across CI/CD, telemetry and production ownership.
The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $158,000 - $190,000 annually.*
