Full Job Description
Job summary

Quantum computers are coming - and when they arrive, the encryption protecting most of the world's digital infrastructure will need to change. DigiCert Quantum Central is the platform helping enterprises get ahead of that transition: discovering cryptographic assets, identifying vulnerabilities, prioritizing remediation, and managing their migration to post-quantum cryptography (PQC).

The Quantum Central engineering team is looking for a full stack Senior Software Engineer to help build this platform from the ground up. This is greenfield, high-impact work on a problem the industry hasn't fully solved yet. You'll design APIs, own features end-to-end, and ship software that some of the world's largest organizations depend on to stay secure.

We move fast. We use AI as a force multiplier. And we hold the bar high on quality - because in security, cutting corners isn't an option.

What you will do
  • Build RESTful, highly scalable cloud-native services in Go and TypeScript
  • Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and observability
  • Use AI coding agents (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) as a native part of your daily workflow - fluently, not occasionally
  • Design and ship software using agentic AI workflows: LLM orchestration, autonomous pipelines, and AI-assisted product features where relevant to the Quantum Central platform
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and security researchers to build PQC readiness tooling the market doesn't yet have
  • Engage with engineering leaders to implement industry best practices and drive technical decisions
  • Analyse, troubleshoot, and debug product defects and deliver timely solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of post-quantum cryptography, PKI, and the cryptographic asset landscape

What you will have
  • +5 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Expert proficiency in Go for designing and building RESTful, cloud-native web services
  • Strong TypeScript backend development skills
  • Fluency with AI coding agents (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) as a daily, production workflow - you use them to ship faster and with higher quality, and you bring the judgment to review what they produce
  • Hands-on experience building with agentic AI workflows: LLM API integration, function-calling pipelines, autonomous agents, or AI-assisted development pipelines in production or near-production systems
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices: design, testing, architecture, and code quality
  • Experience with service-based architectures and distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL best practices, indexes, and query optimization
  • Familiarity with Test Automation Frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to identify where AI can accelerate delivery and advocate for AI-first engineering practices within the team
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have
  • Understanding of post-quantum cryptography (PQC), SSL/TLS, PKI, or cryptographic asset management
  • Familiarity with NIST PQC standards (Kyber, Dilithium, etc.)
  • Experience with cryptographic discovery tools, CMDB integrations, or security posture management platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience building multi-agent AI systems or RAG-based features integrated into real product workflows
  • Technologies and tools we use - any experience is a bonus:
    • Go
    • MySQL / MariaDB
    • React / Redux
    • Java
    • Docker and Kubernetes
    • Git and GitHub
    • Jira API / ITSM integrations
What We're Really Looking For

Beyond the technical requirements, we're looking for someone with a specific mindset:
  • AI-native, not AI-curious. You've already internalized AI coding agents into your daily workflow. You know their strengths, their failure modes, and how to prompt them effectively. You use them to move faster without letting them move carelessly.
  • Speed with judgment. You understand that "ship fast" and "ship quality" aren't opposites - they're a discipline. You know when to iterate quickly and when to slow down and get it right.
  • You treat features like your name is on them, because it is.

Benefits
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement savings programs with company matching (401(k) or RRSP)
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays, and vacation
  • Paid parental leave and family support benefits
  • Life and disability coverage
  • Flexible spending and health savings options (where applicable)
  • Health and wellness support, including gym reimbursement and wellness programs
  • Employee Assistance Program with 24/7confidential support for employees and families
  • Education assistance and professional development opportunities
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning and continuous learning resources
  • Employee referral bonus program and additional company perks and discounts
  • Internal rewards and recognition platform (Motivosity) to celebrate and acknowledge project wins, milestone achievements, and the outstanding contributions of our colleagues
  • Business travel insurance and global employee support programs
