Are you passionate about digital transformation in manufacturing? We're looking for a Senior Engineer, Software Applications to help drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Corning's asset and maintenance management systems across our global manufacturing network.
In this role, you'll partner with teams across manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, IT, OT, quality, and data engineering to improve maintenance workflows, asset reliability, and system performance using tools like IBM Maximo, AVEVA PI, Power BI, Databricks, and more.
What you'll do- Support the global rollout and optimization of IBM Maximo Application Suite
- Translate maintenance and operational needs into scalable digital workflows and reporting solutions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve asset reliability, safety, quality, and process efficiency
- Build and enhance dashboards and reporting in Power BI
- Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing support for Maximo users
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system governance
- Support manufacturing sites through deployments, outages, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll bring (Required)- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Strong experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite or equivalent CMMS system
- Knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, data governance, and manufacturing system environments
Preferred- Experience supporting CMMS platforms in manufacturing facilities
- Knowledge of maintenance and reliability workflows
- AVEVA PI historian
- Power BI and/or Databricks
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0
- Exposure to Python, JScript, or similar languages
- Experience influencing change across complex operational environments
Additional details- Location: Office-based in the Corning, NY area
- Some flexibility is needed to support system cutovers or critical events outside standard business hours
- Travel required: 25%-50%+ Primarily domestic, with occasional international travel possible

This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $86,878.00 - $119,458.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
