Onsite – Buffalo, NYMoog is looking for aSenior Quality Engineerto plan and execute cost-effective quality processes to assure that we will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. You will have a measurable impact on the performance of our business by promoting the highest standards of quality. Since the hardware that we produce is very complex, we are looking for someone who understands the important nature of it.You will report to a Project Quality Engineer and work onsite in East Aurora, NY (Buffalo area).

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Responsible for quality success on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for our customers.
  • Lead Moog support of Customer & Government (DCMA) inspections, customer audits and requirements.
  • Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
  • Facilitate cross functional teams through problem solving activities. These activities will include failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability.
  • Teach Quality personnel on the process of reviewing and preparing End Item Data packs to provide to customer during either source inspections or shipment of hardware.
  • Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective action.
  • Improve cost for inspection and prevent cost due to failure through statistical analysis and problem solving.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $95,000.00 65,000.00 Annually
