Position SummaryAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement high-performance C/C++ applications/engine, focusing on scalability and efficiency. This role involves building systems that support healthcare claims processing and repricing engines, ensuring precise and efficient calculation of claim payments based on contract rules and fee schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain efficient C/C++ code
- Design and implement software across the full SDLC
- Build and enhance claims repricing / adjudication components that apply pricing rules to healthcare claims
- Debug issues and optimize performance (memory, speed, stability)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, business, claims operations)
- Maintain technical documentation and coding standards
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of C/C++ development experience
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, memory management, multithreading
- Experience with Linux/Windows systems and Git
- Familiarity with healthcare claims processing, adjudication, or pricing systems
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with claims repricing engines, fee schedules, or rules-based processing systems
- Exposure to healthcare data formats (e.g., EDI claims) or payment workflows
- CI/CD, Docker, or cloud experience
Education- Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$92,700.00 - $185,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
