Instead of the typical job description, here's a breakdown of tasks and qualities we're looking for:
Primary Responsibilities- Design, code, and debug scalable, robust, and high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver innovative new features.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of Android applications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks.
- Uphold and advocate for modern best practices in mobile software design through code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning, quality, and innovation.
- Continuously research and adopt new tools, frameworks, and techniques to optimize development efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android technologies, trends, and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications- 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
- Proven track record of publishing high-quality Android applications to the Google Play Store.
- Strong expertise in Kotlin and Java.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK, device variations, and OS versions.
- Solid experience with RESTful APIs for backend integrations.
- Strong grasp of Android UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with performance and memory optimization tools.
- Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills-both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

- 100% Remote for the right candidate
Other Information The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required. Salary dependent upon experience.
