This role involves performing systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. You will review system architecture, select, and implement appropriate development and support tools to ensure product performance. The products are components of the military aviation mission planning enterprise. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Perform requirements analysis of software requirement specifications • Design and develop software components and user interfaces • Perform system and unit-level test activities • Take ownership of the application and become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) • Represent the team in meetings as needed, including providing technical analysis and recommendations, and the development and presentation of meeting materials • Collaborate with other development teams, customers, and users to produce the desired product that strives to exceed customer expectations • Work as a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • U.S. Citizenship (required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements) • Active Secret Security Clearance • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 10 to 12 years of experience as a software engineer within the DOD environment • Ability to design, develop, and work with users of software in group or individual settings • Experience developing Microsoft Windows software applications using C#, C++, and client applications using one or more of the following: .NET framework Windows Forms, Windows Presentation Foundation, or HTML5 / JavaScript / TypeScript incorporating frameworks such as Angular or React • Proven debugging skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to teams and customers DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Knowledge of Automated Unit Test frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, or Microsoft Team Test • Knowledge and understanding of mission planning needs of military aviators • Knowledge and familiarity with Git/Azure DevOps REQUIREMENTS & DETAILS: • U.S. Citizenship required • Active Secret Security Clearance required • No sponsorship available • No relocation assistance available --- SCREENING QUESTIONS: 1.
